I went to The Old Salt, so couldn't say anything about Lamies Inn. All I can say is that the food was one of the best, indeed. I had Steamed Clams, Stuffed Fresh Haddock, and Grape Nuts Pudding (my first time of hearing about Grape Nuts) - all was perfect! Alas, I live too far from the place to be able to frequent it...

Went there with a large group and was seated immediately, got the broiled scallops and almost everyone else ordered the stuffed haddock, everything looked, smelled and tasted delicious. Couldn't ask for better service. I can see this place having the potential to be extremely busy on the weekends, especially when the summer tourists start showing up, but in the middle of the week in winter it was a great dining experience.

Stayed overnight. The hotel is quaint and clean. We were uncomfortable with the threatening signage in the bathroom, which stated that a fee would be charged if towels were left with makeup stains or damage. There was a simple continental breakfast, with sweet rolls and fruit. Our biggest disappointment was when we asked a staff member at the desk about local attractions and activities. She said summer's over, there's nothing. We said, Really, nothing to see? She said she would only recommend apple picking, but it's raining. Deflated by her lack of enthusiasm, we checked out and probably wouldn't stay there again.

A spur of the moment booking and our entire experience was 5 star. From the check in of our room, the bar and restaurant, and all over amazing vibe of historic inn. We will be telling everyone about this one!

This is a charming hotel in a building that dates back to the 18th century! The rooms are small, but comfortable. The hotel is easily located minutes from the highway and the restaurant on site is a great place to unwind after travels. However, the highlight of our stay was the breakfast pastries baked overnight by the in house baker, Paul. His blueberry and pumpkin croissants as well as the pumpkin muffins were incredible and a great treat to get the day started. Enjoyed the night we stayed here on our way to places North of there.

A local staple. Consistent good food with a local flare. A nice variety of menu items including pub fare, dinners and lunch selections. A nice mix of beef, seafood, chicken and other options. Awesome happy hour specials. The Sunday brunch there is excellent probably the best on the seacoast.
